Job Title: Contracts Manager / Paralegal / Legal Secretary

Location: South Yorkshire

 

About the role: 

Understand the commercial strategy of the business and effectively contribute to risk management, business development and IP protection. You will be expected to support the team and wider business on diverse matters from intellectual property, fundraising and finance, equity, corporate structuring to contract review and negotiation.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To ensure contract terms are appropriate for the business and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders for information.
  • Conduct legal research
  • Oversee the administrative handling of contractual documents including NDAs, commercial contracts and licence agreements.
  • Ensure compliance in relation to confidentiality, data protection and file retention and destruction requirements

 

Skills & Experience:

  • An ability to handle multiple workstreams 
  • Previous Legal experience ideally in a commercial environment
  • Due diligence and document review
  • Data room management, support and running the Q&A process on transactions
  • Reviewing / drafting NDA's and commercial contracts
  • Drafting transaction documents and letters
  • Contract review
  • Preparing transaction bibles
  • Proofreading/checking cross-referencing
  • Redacting
